Video: Celts nab first win in Summer League

Check out some video from Boston’s 85-71 Summer League win over the Spurs in what was the Celts’ final game out in Utah. They know move on to Vegas Summer League which kicks off this weekend. Marcus Smart had 22 points & 7 assists, while rookie Terry Rozier had 16 & 7. RJ Hunter also chipped in, as he finally started to look comfortable while netting 18 points on 4 of 7 shooting. He hit on all 4 of his trey attempts.

Great–now I have visions of Rozier dishing to Hunter for 6 treys per night.

I also have visions of Hunter getting that shot blocked over and over.

  Don’t forget about Young, he’s been amazing.

  Yeah that release needs to get a touch higher and quicker, but at least these dudes aren’t scrubbing out like Young thus far. Though Young’s early part of his career is not unlike AB IMO. Once Young learns how to be a lockdown defender that lets the game come to him a bit more then he will continue to only see minutes in the D-League. If we could throw the muscle weight that Young gained on both Rozier and Hunter we’d have a potent little team.

    i dont think youngs gonna be a lock down defender, just doesnt have the instinct and the foot speed for it. He also gives up easily. He can atleast be average.

      So Young is the SG equivalent of Roy Hibbert? Yeah unfortunately that is a pretty likely assessment.

starting to get excited about the progress smart is showing. he was so unpolished when he first got drafted by this team that I really didn’t think he was ever going to pan out, but the offensive side of the game seems to be finally coming to him.
