VOD: Smart shines in loss to OKC

Marcus Smart did it all for Boston in a sloppy loss to the OKC Thunder last night. He was on point (7 of 12) from beyond the arc, played fantastic defense and generally just kicked ass. There’s no doubt that he was excited to be back in Oklahoma and he certainly made himself at home. Down To Buck has video of Smart’s career-high 25 point performance.

Getting worried about Kelly… Young wasn’t consistent and he lost out to overachieving role players. (Not that I’m complaining, we’re in the playoffs!) But will Kelly end up being replaced if we get a rim protector to go with Sully?

Marcus, I usually hate watching players bomb away threes constantly instead of driving or anything. But if he’s hitting them like he did against OKC, by all means Smart, shoot until your arms drop off. He had a few nice passes and with his tenacity- I hope he’s a Celtic for life.

If Kelly Olynyk had even average NBA athleticism, he would be an all star. As he is, he is almost painful to watch in today’s NBA.

I was a serious Marcus Smart doubter early in the season. I have been thoroughly impressed with the progress he has made since then. Watching him now, it is hard to believe he is a rookie and he hasn’t been on the Celtics for years.
