We need a chant.
We need signs.
We need ideas.
We need to make this man's life a living hell.
You messed with us, Quentin Richardson. And goddammit, we're not going to stand for it. Celtics fans... this is our calling. This is our time. This is why we're the best fans in the world.
25 years from now... when ESPN 25 is tracking people down to celebrate the anniversary of the 18th Celtics championship, they will need to track down the key players from throughout the series. They will need to find Quentin Richardson. And we need to be sure he says "I've never heard anything like that in my life. What I heard in game 2 after that altercation was surreal. It will live with me forever. Those fans.... that entire city... came after me harder than I ever imagined anyone could."
This, my friends, is what we do. WE are 6th men. WE make the Garden "the Jungle." WE pour energy into aging legs as they reach down for something extra. WE do all of that.
We don't need no goddam jumbotron to tell us to get loud. We can do it on our own. And we're going to focus it all on Q.
You screwed with the wrong city, Richardson. Tomorrow, you'll find that out the hard way.
