Brendan Haywood should just worry about trying be good at basketball

... and not about what Stephon Marbury is doing.  This is what he said about Stephon Marbury's live streaming madness.

“At first it was cool, but after a while it just became disturbing.  He’s on YouTube crying with no shirt on for no reason, sweating while his boy’s rubbing his shoulders.  What’s that about?  That’s like gay porn.  I don’t understand it.  He’s dancing to a song called ‘Barbie Doll’, doing like stripper moves.  I have no idea what’s going on with the guy, it’s almost like he’s trying to end his own career.  There’s not a GM out there that would touch Marbury right now… Have you seen the ‘Barbie Doll’ clip?  Click on YouTube and go to Barbie Doll.  There’s no way any other professional athletes would wanna get dressed around this guy, because you gotta think something is a little, he’s swinging from both sides of the fence.”

Who the hell is Brendan Haywood to comment on stuff like this?  How about this Brendan?  Maybe you should worry a little more about being good at basketball (unless you're happy with being "serviceable" for your career) and less on whatever you think Stephon Marbury's sexuality might or might not be... no matter what that dance looks like.

This is what I don't get about some of these athletes.  Let's say that a player WAS gay.  You think just because you're naked next to him he's going to try to attack you?  Don't flatter yourself buddy.  How many stories have you EVER heard about gay guys forcing themselves on straight guys?  None, that's how many.

Sorry delve slightly away from sports... but I think the "I don't want to get changed next to a potentially gay guy" ridiculous.  It's 2009.  Time to grow up.  You think there aren't gay players in the league?  Think again.
